Mid-Atlantic Podcast began (December 2014) as a Facebook group for podcasters in the Mid-Atlantic States (North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Connecticut). The plan was to bring together podcasters for meetups, Google Hangouts, and eventually conferences. Joe Pardo jumped at the chance to organise a podcast (exclusive) conference in the northeast after seeing the interest.
