Washington Bankers Association (WBA) was founded by bankers in 1889, and was incorporated in 1970. Through advocacy, comprehensive programming, and information exchange, WBA protects, develops, and advances the business of banking in Washington State.
WBA represents commercial banks operating in every county of the state, ranging in size from large multi-state financial institutions to smaller, family-owned and community-based banks. More than 97 percent of all commercial bank deposits in the state of Washington are held in WBA-member banks.
VISION: Washington Bankers Association leads the banking industry as a premier provider of advocacy, education, and products and services.
For more than 100 years, WBA has been actively involved in shaping the legislative issues that impact the success of Washington’s banks.
WBA’s comprehensive educational offerings are unmatched in the Pacific Northwest and are available in a variety of formats to make training as convenient, timely, and cost-effective as possible.
