Event Description

The Annual MAEOE Conference is the country’s biggest state-wide conference in the field of environmental education and is Maryland’s only such conference.

For four-day workshops, lectures, discussions, networking, and the communication of resources including examples from the classroom, school grounds, and the community, the conference will bring together over 400-600 formal and non-formal educators.

The Maryland Association of Environmental and Open Education (MAEOE) provides a non-consumer education association, provider of dynamic training programmes, workshops, conferences, award programmes, networking opportunities, publications and associated materials to a number of teachers (in all grades), natural resources managers, natural centres and environment programme managers. With these efforts, MAEOE has contributed to the promotion, training, support and incentive of Maryland educators to build a citizenry that understands and responsibly promotes sustainable development in order to tackle human needs and conserve the natural resources of the world.
