In 2022, the Japanese Association of Indian and Buddhist Studies will hold its 73rd conference at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Details are given below. We look forward to everyoneʼs participation. This conference’s theme is “Literature and Scripture” (on September 4th). Therefore, a special session will be held on this topic. The Japanese Association of Indian and Buddhist Studies was founded in 1951. After the Second World War, there was an increased need for research on India and Buddhism. In 1951, the proposal to establish a national-level academic association for the field of Indian Philosophy was brought to fore.
