Symposium on Child Custody

The Child Custody Symposium is for custody evaluators, judges, lawyers, mediators, parenting coordinators, and anyone else who works with separated and divorced families. This symposium also strives to improve learning by fostering respectful inquiry, discussion, and debate, all of which are values of the AFCC.

The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) took root in California in the spring of 1963. The AFCC membership network provides an international network of collegiality, support and timely access to information and resources. The association is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through the resolution of family conflict. Their vision is to become a justice system in which all professionals work collaboratively through education, support, and access to services to achieve the best possible outcome for children and families.
