North Carolina Commodities Conference

Since 1990, annually the North Carolina Commodities Conference offers the state farmers a forum for shared ideas, a place for Board businesses and a forum for partners and like minded individuals to share ideas. The Conference has averaged 600 producers and Ag professionals and about 200 suppliers and sponsors in recent years. We, the organisers, took the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 event, originally scheduled for January 14 and 15 in consultation with our respective Boards, recognising the unique roles played by the conference. Current Phase 3 guidelines for cap conferences for 100 or less participants; That would seriously restrict participation in our event and call into question the financial model. The conference cannot be made endurable by January 2021 because of our duty to act as the responsible steward of farm dollars controls and recognition of health risks associated with mass gatherings. The Sheraton Imperial RTP has graciously enabled us to restart the NC Commodities Conference for 2022 with new enthusiasm and good health.
