The annual NCBFAA Government Affairs Conference allows attendees to hear directly from influential industry players about timely and critical industry changes, as well as make their voices heard when explaining the industry’s pressing challenges to their Senators and Congressional Representatives.
The NCBFAA, based in Washington, DC, represents more than 1,000 international trade member companies with 110,000 employees, including the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCCs), and air cargo agents, who serve more than 250,000 importers and exporters. NCBFAA is the industry's effective national voice, having been founded in 1897 in New York. The Association keeps a close eye on legislative and regulatory issues that affect its members through its various committees, counsel, and representatives. Through its weekly Monday Morning eBriefing and various meetings and conferences throughout the year, it keeps them informed about these and other related issues.
