The leadership of the Central Society for Clinical and Translational Research (CSCTR) and the Midwestern Section of the American Federation for Medical Research (MWAFMR) invite you to participate in the Midwest Clinical & Translational Research Meeting, which has a rich annual tradition of providing a forum for young investigators, fellows, and associate/assistant professors to present their research to leaders in their fields. This is one of the few multi-specialty meetings with a broad focus where the attendees can learn about research techniques used in other medical specialties and apply those techniques to their own research.

Created in 1940, AFMR, an international and multidisciplinary association of scientists working in all fields of biomedical and patient science, from laboratory to translation to clinical sciences, has established itself as an American Federation for Medical Research. The organisation aims to promote the development of future generations of clinical scientists and researchers, while encouraging governmental, private and public investment in their development. AFMR members have their headquarters in public establishments; health centres; universities and medical schools. The AFMR also promotes medical science research, provides leadership on how scientific research objectives are articulated and published, disseminates knowledge generated by medical research and identificates and supports efforts to further clinical research.
