Founded in August 2003, the English Language Center. In its newly developed programme of university credit-bearing schemes, the Language Center has recruited a half its faculty from abroad and took on the duties of English teaching for the whole campus community about 7,000 students, including English major students and postgraduate students. The Language Centre, located at Shantou University, aims to teach excellence and provide a supportive language learning environment in which students develop their communication skills and strategies for critical thinking in a vibrant creative and intellectual community through curricular and co-curricular activities. It is dedicated to bringing our students at Shantou University the best english environment and it brings creative ideas from the campus community that provide valuable opinions and constructive suggestions.
