Chemists must play a decisive role in solving social challenges, as our motto “Chemists Create Solutions” already implies. We purposefully chose an English motto this time because, as scientists, we understand the importance of collaboration across disciplinary and geographic boundaries, and we want to extend an open invitation to international colleagues to participate in WiFo. As a result, the proportion of English-language events will be significantly higher than at previous Science Forums, indicating that the GDCh’s internationalisation efforts are continuing. We are also very pleased with our collaboration with the Gesellschaft sterreichischer Chemiker (GCH) in this regard.
