As we navigate our new and long-term challenges, we should surely acknowledge education’s importance in safeguarding our futures. Mapping a path from COVID and its consequences for well-being, society and economy, we are adding to our journey, building resilience and sustainability for people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership. The strength of our countries’, cultures and communities’ response to these challenges informs our next EWF theme.
We will consider: what have we learned about sharing data and information and acting together; what have we learned in education about science, data, policy and societal response that might be applied in education; what have we learned about educational resilience and how might that be built into future learning; what have we learned about our individual and collective response and welfare; what approaches to leadership and community action have brought out the best in us and how might we develop that for a more resilient future?
