Biology of Acute Respiratory Infection Gordon Research Conference

Acute respiratory infections represent a public health crisis. While awareness of its impact has been elevated by COVID-19, the societal footprint of pneumonia extends far beyond that resulting from any single pathogen. The 2022 Gordon Research Conference on the Biology of Acute Respiratory Infections will center on biological events dictating pneumonia outcome and the degree to which these events have been or could be leveraged by clinical practice. This will benefit from integrated contributions across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to immunologists, microbiologists, and clinicians, resulting in a venue that uniquely assembles the world’s foremost experts in pneumonia research. In this way, the 2022 GRC on the Biology of Acute Respiratory Infection and the associated Gordon Research Seminar will cultivate an opportunity for creative and multidisciplinary discussions for this rapidly evolving area of investigation, maximizing the potential for innovative discoveries and clinical interventions.
