ASHRAE is a non-profit organisation based in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded in 1894. America Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers Inc. is the full name of the organisation. ASHRAE's main goal is to create a more environmentally friendly society by continuously improving the processes employed in the air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration business. The organisation is led by Thomas Watson, who also serves as the President. To accomplish these objectives, the organisation conducts research, publishes journals, and holds a variety of events throughout the year. The atmosphere at ASHRAE events is great for discussing the latest information and networking with others. In January 2013, the organisation will organise the AHR Expo. This is the largest HVACR exhibition, and it will draw a large crowd.
