The American Physical Society is an association of members. APS has several declarations on educational ethics and values on internal international and domestic policies for human rights. The chairman chairs the Council, which is ultimately responsible for the actions of the company. The Society relies on the assistance and leadership of hundreds of volunteers in its committees, the Theme Group Forums and Sections.
